         Nippon Paper Industries Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (“Nippon Paper Shanghai”) was established in June 2004 through 100% funding by Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. in the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, China, in order to establish Nippon Paper’s own sales network.

        Nippon Paper Shanghai began operations in September 2004 to promote sales and marketing activities within China. Nippon Paper Shanghai is Nippon Paper Group’s first paper products sales company in that country. The company will import a variety of products from Nippon Paper Industries and Nippon Paper Group and sell directly to customers in China.

        The focus of Nippon Paper Shanghai is to enhance customer awareness of Nippon Paper Group and its products. It will act as the Group’s agent to directly provide products and services while gaining the confidence of the customers. The goal of Nippon Paper Shanghai is to respond to customer needs and requirements by providing those products and services directly.
