Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Masatomo Nakamura) is pleased to announce the release of U-ltimax mm, a new low-density coated paper, in October. U-ltimax mm features the Company's own coating technology, which suppresses brightness.
Nippon Paper Industries has already released a number of products in the U-ltimax matt low-density coated paper series, including the pioneer U-ltimax, U-ltimax FUN, which has the lowest density among the series products, U-ltimax SILK, with a dull surface finish and higher brightness, and U-ltimax Libero, which features pure whiteness and unprecedented lightness.
The latest entry in this series, U-ltimax mm employs the Company's unique technology to achieve a flat surface finish not found in conventional matt low-density coated paper products. In addition, its lower brightness enhances the visibility of printed characters and images, and creates a supple, serene atmosphere with finished products.
Product feature
(1) Lowest density among the U-ltimax series product
U-ltimax mm has a density of 0.75g/cm3, the same as the Company's low-density coated paper U-ltimax FUN.
(2) Lowest brightness (11%) among high-grade low-density paper product
The low whiteness and brightness of U-ltimax mm make printed characters more legible, and produces a moist and supple overall finish with printed material.
(3) Flat surface finish enabled by a unique coating technology
The unique coating technology of Nippon Paper Industries produces a flat surface finish, enabling a serene and natural atmosphere to be expressed when the paper is used for printing.
