Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Masatomo Nakamura) is pleased to announce its release of a new matt lightweight coated paper product under the name of Pegasus U-7. Employing the Company's own low-density technology, it is 17% lighter than conventional products.

 

1. A 17% weight reduction

Nippon Paper Industries' own low-density technology attained a weight that is 17% lighter than that of conventional matt lightweight coated paper. Yet Pegasus U-7 still has the same ink-holding properties that ensure a gentle and beautiful print finish.

2. High opacity maintained

After the weight reduction, high opacity is maintained to prevent print-through.

3. Soft page-turning experience

The bulking paper is soft and not stiff. Turn the pages and its suppleness will be evident.

The new product is manufactured at Fuji Mill. The sales target is 1000 metric tons per month.
