New Product Released: Pegasus Blanaile:
Low-density lightweight coated mechanical paper with unprecedented whiteness
Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Takahiko Miyoshi) has released the "Pegasus Blanaile" lightweight coated mechanical paper, which boasts unprecedented whiteness.
With excellent whiteness and high opacity, the new "Pegasus Blanaile" enables photos and other images to be vividly printed without print through.
This is a low-density lightweight coated mechanical paper based on Nippon Paper Industry's low-density technology.

(1) High whiteness
With whiteness of 87.5%, this lightweight coated mechanical paper represents the elegance of white in unprinted space.
(2) Low density
Nippon Paper Industry's low-density technology is used to produce a density of 0.59 g/cm3, one of the lowest densities among the lightweight coated mechanical paper products available on the market.
(3) High opacity
High in opacity, it is free from print through, despite having a base weight of 70 g/m2.
(4) Matt printing surface
In addition to its high whiteness and high opacity, its matt surface lends a soft look to printing results.

The new product is manufactured at Ishinomaki Mill. The sales volume target is 1,000 metric tons per month.

The name of the new product incorporates two French words: "blanc" (white) and "aile" (wing). The concept of a "white wing" symbolizes the central features of the product: white and lightweight.
