Looks like a lot of fun! |
Every year since 1995, Nippon Paper Industries
Iwanuma Mill has donated a roll of coated paper measuring approximately 1.6 meters
by 200 meters to Tsurugaya School of Handicapped Children in Sendai.
The donated paper is used for an event where students paint in watercolors using
their whole bodies on the classroom floor and walls completely covered with the
coated paper. Each time, an innocent piece of work is produced by the students
with both their skin and clothes smeared with paint.
In return for the donation, the students send the mill their handmade calendars
and letters, in which everybody contributes a line and a signature. The employees
at the mill are touched at the sight of these gifts. The Mill intends to continue
the friendly exchange with the students through paper donation in the future.
