At Yufutsu Mill of Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd., the Spring Cleanup Operation is held in April each year as part of the Coastal Area Commuting Road Cleanup Campaign (organized by Tomakomai Coastal Area Enterprises Council). Yufutsu Mill is in charge of the area between the city highway and the road shoulder at the intersection in front of Tomakomai Branch Office of Kyokushin Transport Corporation. About 120 people from the Mill and affiliated companies participate, to pick up empty cans, bottles, PET bottles and other garbage, which are then sorted. →Go Back to Major Activities
