Every summer, the Komatsu Plant of the SHIKOKU
COCA-COLA BOTTLING CO., LTD. receives a large number of visitors on plant tours
from all over Shikoku. During the 2005 summer vacation period there were approximately
2,000 visitors.
Taking advantage of the summer vacation, the “Summer Vacation Parent-Child
Plant Tour” planned by the Takamatsu Living Shimbun and the “Summer
Vacation Parent-Child Knowledge Tour” planned by a local supermarket were
held, and together they brought many parents and children to the Komatsu Plant.
This is a hands-on opportunity for children to see how COCA-COLA beverages are
manufactured and is suitable as an excursion or as a topic for free study during
the summer vacation.
In addition, “Housewives Visiting Corporations” has become a regular
event, with participants drawn from the audience of a radio program called Cappy
Mama-san Information broadcast by Nankai Broadcasting Corporation. This year,
in fact, the tour was held twice. This event is popular among homemakers as an
opportunity to better understand the range of beverages made by SHIKOKU COCA-COLA
BOTTLING, a company to which they have always felt a strong attachment.
