Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. has put up “Forest Smarts”—a series of signboards—to provide hikers who come to Mt. Nikko Shirane the opportunity to enjoy nature based on some knowledge about the forests. A total of 13 signboards have been erected in the walking course at sites of historical and natural significance. The course starts in the Rock Garden in front of the top of Mt.
