on March 30, 2001 as Nippon Unipac Holding, which was a pure holding
company of Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. and Daishowa Paper
Manufacturing Co., Ltd., to facilitate the companies' integration
of their operations. Then Nippon Unipac Holding changed the name
to Nippon Paper Group, Inc. on October 1, 2004.
