Business Summary

The Nippon Paper Group consists of approximately 180 affiliates and related companies, headed by Nippon Paper Group, Inc., which is purely a holding company. Serving a key role in the Group's core pulp and paper division, the four direct subsidiaries of the Group – Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd., Nippon Daishowa Paperboard Co., Ltd., Nippon Paper Crecia Co., Ltd., and Nippon Paper Papylia Co., Ltd. – are making steady progress at the forefront of Japan's pulp and paper industry.
 
The Group has restructured its businesses through divisions and mergers, and developed principally its core pulp and paper division, thus the Group is currently comprised of four business segments: pulp and paper division, paper-related division, housing and construction materials division, and other division. The Nippon Paper Group is actively promoting synergies through dynamic collaboration between the Group companies to make more efficient use of raw materials and reduce distribution costs.
