Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. Ishinomaki
Mill2-2-1 Nanko-cho, Ishinomaki, Miyagi
986-8555

Built in 1938, the Ishinomaki Mill takes advantage of its conveniently close location to abundant water in the Kitakami River, as well as its proximity to the Pacific ocean for the transport of wood and wood chips, materials, and paper products by sea.
The Mill turns out a variety of paper products—woodfree paper, groundwood contained paper, coated paper, newsprint—using mechanical pulp, chemical pulp, and de-inked pulp. As a principal manufacturer of printing paper for Nippon Paper Group, the Ishinomaki Mill’s production volume is one of the largest in the world.
With the advantage of its proximity to the sea, the Mill plays an important role in ensuring a stable supply of high-quality paper products to the greater Tokyo area.

ISO14001 certified since November 1999
