Situated near Tomei Expressway and Tagonoura Port, making it a key transport junction, the mill has excellent access to the capital region, make it an advantageous site.
Having commenced operation in 1933, Fuji Mill is the first production site to install kraft pulp (KP) production equipment in Japan. Since then, the mill has produced an array of kraft paper (e.g., wrapping paper). Highly progressive in nature, Fuji Mill developed a coated paper production technology in 1960, positioning itself as a coated paper production mill. In addition, it enjoys the highest production of PPC paper in the nation.
In more recent years, Fuji Mill has upgraded wastepaper treatment equipment and in-house pulp production facilities. With a production system that enables the balanced use of wood pulp and wastepaper pulp, the mill is a reliable provider of quality products as an ‘urban resource recycling mill’.
