Tokyo Mill enjoys an excellent location in close proximity to the Tokyo area, Japan's largest consumer market. The Mill began operating tissue processing machines in 1964, with paper machines coming on-stream in 1966. It has been producing paper products ever since. The Mill produces a broad array of quality products, including household paper products such as facial and bathroom tissues, and business and industrial use items. An environmental management system is in place and Tokyo Mill has set a goal for itself of becoming an entirely pollution-free factory. To this end, it was one of the first in the industry to install exhaust gas and drainage treatment facilities and a co-generation system using town gas. We continue to promote the recycling of milk cartons, and have a number of additional programs designed to minimize industrial waste.
