Kaisei Mill was Japan's first tissue production facility. Its location gives it access to the abundant, high-quality water flowing from Mt. Fuji, which is excellent for the production of soft tissue paper. In 1963, the Mill began producing bathroom tissue. It started manufacturing facial tissue in 1964. The Mill produces a wide range of quality products, including household paper products such as facial and bathroom tissue, and business and industrial use items. It has an environmental management system in place, uses co-generation to reduce its energy consumption and has installed biological membrane treatment units and other innovative drainage treatment facilities. The technology and experience that it has built up over the decades provides the foundation for a steady stream of new products that draw on new techniques and equipment.
